Recent Pics
We only did this 2 times...Allie didn't like it and they only stayed in for under an hour. But, it is exciting that her hair is just long enough for it! Now we just need it to get thicker.
I know that I shouldn't be posting bathtub pics of my baby online, but I thought these were okay.

Another $3 Lamp
Trey got home from school late again tonight, so I decided to kill some time at DI. I found another cool lamp for $3!! I know that it is a little ugly, but I have some plans for it...

What's in Your Bathroom?
So, I really like to try new products, but I am usually disappointed. So, I am sharing with you all of the products I use and I hope that some of you will do the same!
I LOVE the smell of Aussie hair products. Allie loves the kangaroo on the bottle. I also love that I can buy it in a large bottle and it comes with a pump.
This daily exfoliating face wash by Garnier is amazing! I wouldn't use it everyday, but probably every other. Your face will feel AMAZING after you use it.
This is what I use MOST days. It has always been my go-to face wash and my dermatologist recommended it.
This is my blow dryer. I like it, but I only use it every other day or so. Vidal Sassoon Answers.
I had to get a straightener around the same time my blow dryer died, so I thought why not get matching ones? It has lasted me a couple years. I like it okay. I wish I had a CHI.
I like using this vanilla deodorant because vanilla goes with everything. Plus I like that it's clear.
Victoria's Secret lotions are my favorite. I love them all. Right now I am using Pear Glace, Love Spell, and Forever Romance. I think I have one more stored away somewhere. I always buy them on sale 7 for $35.
Don't be fooled - even though this is from Proactive it is NOT medicated. It is SUPER soothing and my skin just soaks it in. It is almost as good as Clinique's Dramatically Different Lotion that I could never afford, even if I was rich :)
I have used this since my roommate in college (Emily) suggested it 5 years ago. I love it! Thanks Emily!
This concealer by Neutrogena is 3-in-1 so you can use it everywhere.
I use Bare Minerals Warmth in different ways...sometimes as a bronzer and sometimes the way they tell you to use it :) I have tried other brands and this stuff is the best. It is worth the $20 and lasts forever.
Sometimes I use e.l.f. mineral blush, but not always...get it here for $5...sign up for their mailing list and get some good deals and sometimes even free shipping.
I HAVE to use a curler. It makes your eyes look SO much bigger. Mine is Revlon and I've had it since I was 12...you just have to change out the rubber pads every so often.
I love this eyeliner pen from e.l.f. cosmetics. Get it here for $1.
I finish off with a couple layers of L'Oreal's Waterproof Voluminous Mascara. It is my very favorite! Only $5 at Walmart and Target.
Leave me a comment and let me know if you post some of the products you use, or if you try some of these!

Cat's Out of the Bag
Okay, so this cat is still in the bag, but I just wanted to be creative with my title :) This is what my cat was doing while I was doing this:
I met with Elizabeth, the photographer doing that "black tie" shoot for me and Trey I talked about here. She really liked the dress I bought so now I can show you what it looks like!!
Sorry I couldn't get a full body pic...you will just have to wait and see it when I post some pics from the shoot. It was so fun meeting with Liz, besides Allie being probably the most difficult she has been EVER! Sorry again Liz. If any of you need pictures taken anytime soon you really should look into booking with her -she is awesome. She even took the time to give me some tips and tricks and whatever information she could to help me out with my photography skills. She's great. Have I mentioned how EXCITED I am for this? I don't think I can really convey...Anyways, we are thinking an ivory birdcage veil with an ivory flower (I am going to attempt to make that) and Trey will be in a tux with probably the "burnt orange" vest that I wouldn't let him wear for our April mostly-white-and-some-yellow wedding. We are doing it at the end of October so I am hoping Utah's Winter doesn't decide to come early :)

My Vintage Pillows
I like them A LOT. Trey actually likes them too, which really surprised me. What do you think? PS...the green doesn't really show as much as it does in these pics...it looks more like the blue.

Pretty Pet Food Holder
I hate buying cat food...not just because its another expense like toothpaste, but because we have to keep buying the small bags that cost twice as much as if you buy a BIG bag. I'm all about getting the cheapest deal possible. We buy the small bags because we live in a small apartment and there isn't any room to put the BIG bag.
So, you can imagine my excitement when I found a cute way to store a bigger bag of cat food:
*Hint: look at the very bottom of the picture
I didn't want to buy a bucket...ok I can't afford to spend $15 on one of those metal ones...so I used one of these:
I painted it with the interior premium paint sample that Glidden sent me for free a month or so ago...printed out "Kitty Food" in some cute font, mod podged it on there and voila:

What I am Addicted to Right Now
Okay, so we went to Walmart on Saturday (big mistake) and after getting the bare essentials we decided we needed a little treat. The ice cream sandwiches were on sale and these were included:
I thought they looked gross but Trey really wanted them (and I'm really not that picky when it comes to dessert) so we bought them. It is Monday at 3pm and there are only 3 left. I just ate 2 for lunch. I urge you all to try them.

Allie Girl
I thought I should do a post all about Allie since I haven't for a while and she keeps growing so fast!
She still loves going on walks and can't be outside long enough. Now that the weather is cooling off we will be able to take more walks.
Misty gave Allie some old necklaces and she loves them. She also loves every other girly thing...bracelets, brushing her hair, wearing my shoes (including my heels,) putting on clothes (sometimes layers and layers) and purses. Her hair is at an awkward stage. It is so thin that it gets ratty really easily in the back where it is long, but it looks funny if I try putting it in pigtails. I just let it do what it wants for now. :(
She loves to play on our bed and she has gotten a lot more cuddly (especially with Trey now that we don't see him very much.)
She is our little daredevil. This summer she would just walk right into the pool if we let her. She usually runs places, rather than walking, and can't be outside long enough.
She loves her babies and taking care of them. I always catch her feeding them and giving them kisses and hugs.
She loves riding on the rocking horse that Trey's parents got her. She climbs on it probably the most difficult way possible, standing on the seat, and then sits down. She especially likes to sit on it while she watches her favorite movie (one of the 500 Land Before Time sequels.)
She just started making this really fake laugh...but she does it all the time. I'm not sure how long that phase will last...Notice all of her teeth-she is only missing a few now.
She loves getting into our wallets and my purses. She has learned that she can't play with our cell phones anymore, so she uses just about anything else to pretend to talk on the phone. Her favorite is to "talk" to Grandma and Grandpa...until they are actually on the phone, then she just listens and smiles.
She loves walking on different surfaces...low and high.
When we are on walks, or in the car, and she is getting tired of sitting in the stroller, or car seat, we ask her if she can see any puppies and this is what she does. She points straight ahead like she can see them and it distracts her for a minute. Usually we see a few dogs when we go on walks, so it isn't that mean of us to get her excited about it.
Allie is a little rock collector. She finds rocks no matter where we are, and carries them around with her as long as possible. She usually has her hands full when we put her in the car to leave.
She is my little sweetie...

Chosen!!!!
I am so excited today....one of my favorite photographers has chosen me and Trey for a free photo shoot!!! She wanted to do a specific type of photo shoot called "A Black Tie Affair." It is like getting bridals and "groomals" except in a formal dress instead of a wedding dress. So, she offered to do it for free (and even provide a stylist to do hair and makeup) to anyone who was interested. I sent in a picture and didn't even mention it to Trey because I didn't think she would choose us, but she did!!! For those of you who were wondering, Trey is more than willing since he knows how much it means to me and realizes it is an awesome opportunity...and because my birthday is coming up :) So, my dress will be my birthday present and I will definitely post some pics when we get them! Here is the link in case you would like to see it and check out some of her work!
PS I came across this website today. I hope none of our pictures are awkward like these:
Too funny for words.
