It's Sad...

...that this is what my closet looks like when it is clean...

Maybe I'll figure out a better system in our new apartment...

Do any of you have closet organization tricks or tips?

I use one of these:

with a top for extra surface in my closet-it helps me a lot! Mine has 6 drawers though. (I need to get another for the other side..hah!)

My tip? Keep the door closed.

Our closet looks the same way. Even better- we have a TV box in the back. Lovely I know.

i'm working on that right now as we speak. baskets are my favorite thing this week:) and buckets....they're coming in handy and they look so pretty! good luck...can't wait to see what you've done....oh and donating to get rid of things you don't need/wear...is a very GOOD thing. I used to hang onto everything but nowadays I'm learning to release! And it feels good when you give to people less fortunate:) xoxo babe

I put all my undershirts in an "over the door shoe holder," I got from walmart for like $7. I roll them up, and stick them in. Then I know what colors I have and what I need to wash. I do the same thing with my fabric stash, and it works great for being an apartment dweller! :)

I hang everything up with the velvet lined hangers. They take up less room and its easy to go "thru" my clothes. Baskets are good. Make tags on the front so you know what's inside them. I did a lil redo on my closet earlier this year and I went to the dollar store for the supplies!

I'm a big fan of baskets on the top shelf so that I can pull down a whole basket to pick out a sweater and quickly replace it, rather than rifling through them over my head and making a mess. Tiered hangers are great for pants. drawers and/or baskets on the floor are great, too. If you have your shoes on the floor now, try an over-the-door rack or an under-the-bed rolling bin for your less-used shoes. If you're really wanting to organize the closet rod, you can make your own divider organizers, like you see in stores, using paper and a design similar to a door hanger to slip over the rod to create categories for your clothes.

Girl mine totally looks the same! I think the solution is a bigger closet ;)!

Those hanging things that are meant to expand closet storage are way to flimsy and end up being more frustrating than helpful. Just say no!

I agree Ikea is great, but don't get stuck on units specifically made for closet storage. We used a media storage unit in both of my son's closets. Works wonders!

Also, hooks are your friends. If you can't drill holes, use the sticky ones (command, I think). I have hooks on the sides of the closet for belts and against the back wall for purses.

After every 3 to 4 days my closet look like same, and my husband said the best solution is to make less cloth, less bags, less shoes....... Are you agreed?
