Fall Plans

I may need to go see this movie this Fall when I am VERY pregnant and need a fun movie to see.

Or this one:

Okay, so which of my girlfriends are going with me, because I am NOT going to these with my husband :)

Birthday Plans

So, my birthday isn't until the end of November, but I am kind of a planner...

I have officially decided that every year for my birthday our family will do the Christmas tree.  Because it's my birthday and I say so :)  And because I LOVE Christmas so much.

So, my birthday is on a Tuesday so that will be the perfect thing to do (especially since Trey doesn't get home until after nine on Tuesdays)

Then that weekend Trey, Allie, and I are going to this movie:

Because Allie has never been to the theaters and it will be a fun first...And it looks like a pretty cute movie.

What do you think? Doesn't that sound like the perfect birthday??

Oh, and, of course, I make myself a cheesecake every year. Because no one else likes cheesecake so I get the whole thing to myself :)

Do you have any birthday traditions??

My Faves: Movies

Well, I know that summer is movie season, but ever since we've had Allie we don't really see movies until they come out on video.  We love to watch movies, of course, but I have a picky husband...I am a big romantic comedy fan, but also love action in a movie...especially if the actor is hot :)  I was thinking about my favorite movies of all time, and it is a little embarrassing, but I thought I would share anyway.

I used to have a big crush on Richard Gere so First Knight is my fave from way back when...

...and also Runaway Bride.

How to Lose a Guy is probably my all-time favorite, regardless of the cheesiness...

And Elf will always be my favorite Christmas movie.

I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Trey the second week we started dating, so it always brings back fun memories.  I can watch this movie over and over and not get sick of it.

I think that Avatar is my new favorite recent movie (even though I can't stand all the save-the-earth propaganda)  I guess I will see if it stands the test of time...

Anyone seen any good movies lately?

Movie Talk

Well, I have to admit that the last few days on my "less sugar and bad carbs diet" has been harder than I thought.  I guess its good that I'm doing it though, because I realized that I actually eat a lot more sugar than I thought I did.  My body was so weak and I was craving sugar a LOT.  I even allowed myself one cookie the first day, a half the second day, another cookie the third day, and a little handful of chocolate chips today!  Like I said, I have no self-discipline and am really not THAT serious about this whole diet thing :)  But, I am proud of myself for sticking to it and plan on limiting my sugar intake for the next few weeks.

I have to say, there is nothing better when you are dieting and weak and cranky than to watch a good movie.  My husband bought Avatar on blu-ray (I feel stupid mentioning that it is blu-ray, but I have to say, it is pretty dang cool) and I LOVED it!  I am not a fan of Sci-fi's, so I wasn't expecting to like it that much.  For anyone who hasn't seen it, you need to.

Another movie I have to mention is the new Robin Hood coming out May 13th.  Ever since Trey and I saw the first preview we have been looking forward to it, and that never happens!  We love watching movies, but always wait for them to come out on video because there hasn't been a movie we have been that excited about until now...

Russel Crow...

Love story...

Lots of action...

I am SO there.
