Blue & Yellow Interiors

I am not sure why, but I am always so attracted to blue and yellow interiors.  Not just certain hues either.  The problem is, whenever I try to decorate with blue and yellow it never looks quite as good as I was hoping.  Here are a few that I have been swooning over recently:

Allie + Baby Boy in One Room

Since we live in a 2 bedroom apartment, Allie & the baby will be sharing a room.  This means it's time to redecorate :)  Allie is such a girly girl, so I am trying to come up with a room that is still a little girly for her.  Luckily she loves horses so I am going to try to incorporate more of that in their room.  I also think I may keep some of the pink and just add a little more blue and yellow.  So far I have a few inspiration photos to help:

Dream House: Girls Room

I am not sure why I don't just decorate Allie's room this way, since I already know what I like...I guess when you are on a strict budget you take whatever you can get :)  Maybe I will do some redecorating in the next place we live.

 I love simple photography as artwork, and I plan on using photos of my kids in their rooms.

Planning a Pretty Party and FTF

Call me crazy, but I have been planning Allie's 3rd birthday party since last year...kinda.  I won a party in a box from a giveaway and since I didn't have any parties in mind, I decided to use it for Allie's 3rd birthday.  See, I am the worst mom ever and haven't had an "official" birthday party for Allie yet.  So, I am turning a new leaf, and, I also have been dying to photograph a party so that's a little bit of a motivation too :)

I was totally into aqua, light yellow, and coral at the time, those are the colors I decided to use.  And, since it is a birthday party for a 3 year old girl, I had to throw pink in the mix too.  Here are some pics of the colors I plan to use:
