Now that Thanksgiving is over I can start posting about Christmas! I have to say that I completely agree with this song...Christmas IS the most wonderful time of the year. I love everything about it.

Gift Guide: Handmade Holdiay
This year I decided instead of doing a bunch of giveaways (which was crazy and there was no way I could handle that this year) I would put together a gift guide to help you find the perfect gift...along with a few giveaways mixed in.
Today I wanted to start off with the handmade Christmas gifts for those with a strict budget this year- who isn't? There are so many cute ideas and I wanted to share a few of my favorites:
A bunch of great ideas from the kitchen
Get creative with kitchen items- shop at the dollar store!
Add some scrap fabric to a onesie for cute ruffles
For the newlyweds you know-a sweet photo collage
OR do the same thing with a baby picture.
This was a birthday present idea, but you could do something similar:
1 memory from friends and family on a letter, for # of years they are old.
Homemade vanilla- this stuff tastes AMAZING.

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving dinner is probably my favorite food ever. That's why this year and last year I started cooking an entire meal for my little family of 3 (almost 4) so that I could eat it for weeks straight. Literally lunch and dinner every day for over a week! :) That's how much I love it.

Baby Update & Question
Well, I thought I would just let you guys know that I am planning on being induced on Monday next week. I am really excited and feel like I have been waiting forever for this little boy to come! I hope that you understand when my posts dwindle a little bit in the month of December, but I still plan on keeping the blog up since it has been so much fun!
I also wanted to reflect on the last couple years of blogging and see what all of you thought...I started this blog as a family journal, which didn't quite work out for me since I already have a journal and make a family photo album/journal every year. It then became "A Few of My Favorite Things" where I could post about anything and everything I loved. Lately I have been 50/50 things I love and giveaways and I wanted to see what you all thought about that.
Do you LOVE or HATE the giveaways? What do you read this blog for mostly?

Maternity Fashion: Third Trimester
I love that these are Demi Panel because I get a little uncomfortable with a full panel. I also got them in a size bigger than I usually wear and they are even more comfortable. They even have a little stretch to them, so if I want them to fit a little tighter I just throw them in the wash :)
Gap Pure Body Tanks:
Not only are these tanks SUPER comfy (super soft and stretchy fabric) but they also fit in all the right places and disguise the extra love handles we get when we are pregnant. I also love that they are the perfect length and I wear my brown/tan colored one under EVERYTHING.
I really like v-necks to begin with, but I also love that these are not so tight that they hug every inch of my body. They have been a favorite looser fit in the second trimester and are now a "just right fit" in my third. They come in so many colors and all the ones I have were about $6 on clearance.
My Milan Maternity Cardigan:
You can read the review on this cardigan I wrote here, but I will just say that it fits beautifully and feels great on my skin. Just the right amount of warmth that I need right now when I randomly get really hot and uncomfortable for no apparent reason :P

Milan Maternity Giveaway!
This Fall has been pretty warm up until this last week in Utah, and with my last pregnancy being a winter one, I haven't had as many clothes to wear in the late summer through early winter months. Milan Maternity sent me the perfect Fall cardigan to review and I just love it.
It is super soft and a thin, stretchy fabric that is so comfortable to wear. For those that have been pregnant before, you know how much comfort plays a role in the clothing you wear during that 3rd trimester.
Not only is it comfortable, but it is also flattering, with the material fitting my arms just right and disguising the extra hips I have gotten from this baby :) I also love the tie in the middle that goes right above my baby belly and shows off just how big it is!
Not only can I wear this during the warmer Fall months, but it also fits great under my winter coats and I will definitely wear it after my pregnancy too.

Cute maternity clothes are hard to find...mostly since your body is constantly growing and the clothes that you buy when you start needing maternity clothes stop fitting the right way. It is actually quite annoying, but once in a while you find a piece that will fit you the whole way through. That's where Olian Maternity comes in:
I was sent this sweater to review and I can honestly say that it fit me so well, I could wear it from start to finish in this pregnancy. In fact, I will probably keep wearing it even after I have the baby. And, not only is the fit excellent, but the color is gorgeous and it is SOOOO soft. Cozy Rooms
We just got home from staying at a cabin with some of our friends this weekend. It was a lot of fun and really got me in the mood for snow, winter, and the holidays. Lately I am wanting to cozy up our apartment with cozy knit blankets and pillows, fur throws, flannel sheets, candles, and everything warm.
