After the lighting photowalk, I started thinking about ways that I could create my own "studio looks" without actually having a studio.
The first thing I tried was using a backdrop with natural (outside) light.

I set up a screen/room divider I had painted white on my porch and put Allie in front of it to try it out.
Crying never hurt anyone, right?
After her nap I tried something else...I'll post on that tomorrow.

She's so ADORABLE! You're "one of 'those' moms"! Hahaha! You'll be glad you have at least one picture of her crying. :)
Crying pictures are just so cute! Of course, Allie is cute no matter what, and I love her sweater! It looks like her hair is finally growing in--so fun. How fun that you're learning new things!
Oh just adorable...fantastic images...and I think it helped that you had a super gorgeous subject..even with that little pout. Great work x
adorable! when we had photos taken of my son for his birth announcement the photographer used one of those tri-fold white science fair project boards to reflect natural light - it was so simple and genius! and cheap!
Very cool idea! And it looks amazing! Your little one cute smileing or crying! : )
