Oregon Beach

Trey and I are planning a 2 or 3 day getaway this summer...

My parents in Seattle have volunteered to watch Allie for us, and we need a little vacation.

The Oregon Coast is our destination, not sure about which beach yet.

I think all of these look perfect.  And this hotel looks pretty perfect too.

Any suggestions?  Think romantic.

  1. Well I'm from the Oregon Coast so let me help you out! I grew up in Seaside and its nice, not super romantic but a great beach and some fun shopping and decent restaurants. If you want more romance I'd suggest Lincoln City. Good food (go to Kylos while your there...its a restaurant on stilts on the water...AMAZING food) and a HUGE outlet mall to shop till your hearts content. Lincoln city would be my vote! Oh and the hotels are nicer...you have a pick of some amazing ones (Inn at Spanish Head is super cool) and head to Agate beach while your there where you can find Agate's on the sand instead of rocks...really neat!

  3. Oh! I was so excited to read this post and I have a GREAT recommendation! I surprised my hubby with a 3 day trip a few years ago to Canon Beach, Oregon where we stayed at the Stephanie Inn. It was AMAZING!! It was PERFECT!! It was beautiful!! The gorgeous photo of the rock formations you posted ... taken right on the beach in front of the Stephanie Inn! They have an AMAZING 5-course meal you can get reservations for and the chef actually comes out and tells you what he's making for you. They have a delicious complimentary breakfast, free wine tasting & cheese in afternoons. You can walk right out from the Inn to the beach, make a little bonfire on the beach (it's allowed) and roast smores ... the inn will set this up for you (it's the Beach Bonfire Package)! Here is their website ... you will not be disappointed!

  7. How fun! Definitely Cannon Beach is the prettiest, but the shopping in Seaside is kind of beachy/kitschy/ fun, but Astoria area has a shipwreck.... Hmmmmm. I think Cannon Beach is the best choice for romance. Have fun, maybe we'll see you there-- my dd is getting married down there in August!

  10. My vote is for Cannon Beach! We visited several beaches while we were there, and while they were all so unique, I loved Cannon the best. We had our whole family there, but I kept wishing my hubby and I could visit alone! You won't be disappointed. I'm so jealous! :)
