Summer Date Night

After watching the Bachelorette I am just dying to go on a summer date with my husband.  I have it all planned out:

I will wear something cute like this:

And we will go to a cool movie theater for a movie:

Then grab some ice cream afterwards and have some good conversation without the kids:

Well Hello Again!

Well, taking a break from blogging was definitely good for me.  I spent more time outside with the kids and my house was a lot cleaner :)  I mentioned in a previous post that we are looking for a house.  It has been emotionally draining and discouraging, but I am just grateful that we are in a position to do so, and I am hopeful that we will find something soon.

Lately I have been thinking a lot about paint colors.  I try not to decorate with too much color because I usually get sick of it after a month, so I am really nervous about painting my walls a color.  Here are some colors I am thinking about for the main living areas in a house:

Do any of you have a color you have painted your house with and love?

Balboa Baby Shopping Cart Cover

Okay, so here is my story about this cover...

We are looking at houses (don't get me started about that- it has NOT been what I had always hoped it would and I wonder if we will ever get into a house:( ) and the whole time Allie is whining about wanting to go home and driving us crazy!  So, we bribe her, of course, and tell her we will get her ice cream afterwards.  Fast-forward to an hour later and we are at McDonald's.  I put Macsen in one of their high-chairs, but I am still tense from the whole day and not loving that his little hands (which he puts in his mouth often) are touching this nasty high chair.  Then I remember that I have the Balboa Baby cover in the car, run out and get it, and put it on the chair in ten seconds flat.  I put Macsen back in it and sit down and instantly all my stress is GONE and I can finally relax and eat my ice cream.

Macsen liked the print on the cover too.

Now, I do have to admit that I am a little germophobic, mostly because I HATE when my kids are sick and I also hate being sick, but also because I like things to be clean.  I dislike going anywhere public for this reason and especially with my kids.  I LOVE that I can take this cover grocery shopping and to restaurants (basically the only 2 public places we go with kids) and I can relax knowing that my baby is protected from germs.

They come in VERY cute patterns and have some great features.

This is from the website:
  • Machine washable soft quilted material provides a
    360 degree germ-free zone
  • Four elastic corners for easy one-hand installation
  • Toy loops to attach baby’s favorite playthings
  • Safety strap keeps baby secure and comfortable
  • Folds into itself to a compact, convenient size that
can be easily stored in diaper bag
  • Fits most restaurant high chairs

In my opinion, these covers are worth every penny you pay if you are like me and hate taking your babies in public.  Go check out all that Balboa Baby has to offer, anything from their site would make a great baby shower gift!

You can also follow them on facebook and twitter!

Stuck in a Rut

Feeling discouraged about a few things today...needed this reminder:

Sorry I haven't been around much...I haven't felt much like posting for some reason.  Hopefully I won't be stuck in this "rut" much longer.  However, I did stumble on this pretty wedding board I just HAD to share:

Happy Monday!
